In Ice Defense, players take control of two kids, locked in an intense snowball fight where they imagine themselves to be dueling ice wizards protecting their turf. Taking elements from classic brick breaker games, both players take turns launching snowball projectiles at one another in an attempt to knock out their opponent in one shot; these projectiles bounce off blocks and walls in predictable angles, but will damage any barriers it hits, allowing for a mix and interesting strategic play and satisfying trick shots. Before the start of a match, players must first assemble their defenses and their starting position, and in every following round, players take turns positioning their characters before angling their snowball shots.
