You line up against your opponent ready to pounce. The ref is busy lining up for the face off and you flashback to the Great One’s cup winner, or the Golden Goal during the Olympics. “Great moments are born from great opportunity” echos through your head as the puck slowly drops to the ice, almost as if the world is preparing for this moment...your moment. Your legs tighten, ready to race towards the net to pot the game winning goal. Your teammate wins the draw back to the defense man and your intuition takes you to the open side of the net. He fakes the shot and slides the puck right to you. The goalie was caught off guard and you have the entire net wide open! You take the shot, the puck flips through the air as the clock counts down; 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1! And then you see it. The most beautiful sight. The color red. You Lit the Lamp! You scored the game winning goal. The buzzer sounds, and you throw your hands in the air. That’s it! You've won the season!
